The 2010 Winter Olympics officially kicked off last night in Vancouver, British Columbia. Not present at the opening ceremonies was Gloucester's Ben Smith.

For the first time since the 1994 winter games in Lillehammer, Norway, Smith will be watching the Winter Olympics from the comfort of his Gloucester home.   Read more »

Heather Marshall, GHS 1999 received her Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences with Specialization in Immunology and Virology from University of Massachusetts. Heather received her undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently a post doctoral fellow at Yale University School of Medicine.

They say,"If you remember the 60's, then you weren't there!" But, I'm sure you'll remember the band called The Kandymen...one of Gloucester's most popular bands in the mid-60's.   Read more »

The Gloucester High School Class of 1954 will hold an informal 55th class reunion Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Bass Rocks Golf Club. A cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and music at 6:30 p.m. A mailing will go out shortly. Graduates of St. Ann School Class of 1954 are welcome. Gloucester - Gloucester High School alumni have been receiving letters this week on school letterhead — with a Chesapeake, Va., return address.

The letters are from Harris Connect, a firm that is putting together a directory of GHS alumni, with the approval of Gloucester school officials.   Read more »

The Gloucester High School Class of 1959 will celebrate its 50-year reunion Saturday, July 25, at the Gloucester House restaurant. A "Save the Date" letter was recently sent to classmates from GHS and St. Ann High School. Some of the letters were returned to the sender.   Read more »

The Gloucester High School and St. Peter's classes of 1969 will hold a 40th reunion on Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Gloucester House restaurant.
