PEABODY — Carla R. (Sinagra) Logan, 53, wife of Michael B. Logan, of Peabody, died on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, following a long courageous battle.

Born in Gloucester on April 12, 1956, daughter of Mary G. (Lovasco) Sinagra Waller of North Palm beach, Fla. and the late Louis Sinagra.

Carla was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the Class of 1974.

She had worked for many years as a clerk for the US Postal Service in the North End of Boston. Carla had also worked as a collections officer for the American Cancer Society.

In her spare time, Carla loved tending to her flower garden and was an excellent cook.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband Michael and her mother Mary, she is survived by her son, Louis J. Logan of Peabody; her sisters, Catherine Russ and her husband John of Gloucester, Carolyn Curcuru and her husband Joe of Tuscon, Ariz., Christine Brownell and her husband Ronald of Kissimmee, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
