Carol A. Martin-Gordon

WENHAM — Carol A. Martin-Gordon, 62, of Wenham, formerly of Gloucester, died on Monday morning, July 14, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Gloucester on June 12, 1946, daughter of the late Everett and Dorothy (Enos) Martin. Carol was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the Class of 1964.

As a young lady, she had worked as a secretary in Boston. She later owned and operated Sir Speedy in Wakefield.

In her spare time, Carol enjoyed gardening and traveling. Most important to her were her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, whom she adored.

She is survived by her sister, Madeline "Midge" Silva, wife of the late Richard Silva, of Gloucester; nieces and nephews, Richard Clayton and wife Cynthia of Gloucester, Karen Clayton of Kona, Hawaii, Sharon Chianciola and husband Walter, Kevin Clayton and wife Marie, Paul Scola and wife Suzanne, all of Gloucester; great nieces and nephews, Richard Clayton Jr. of Ohio, Lauren and Kiley Chianciola, Christina Clayton, Michael and Benjamin Scola.
