GLOUCESTER — Michael T. Baglini, 61, husband of Jean G. (Muise) Baglini of Gloucester, died on Saturday evening, March 15, 2008 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Lynn, MA on July 31, 1946, son of the late Joseph M. and Helen F. (Hill) Baglini.
He was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1964.
Michael worked various jobs throughout his life as a TV repairman, truck driver, at Nutra Max and lastly as a driver for Mass Transit.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Michael enjoyed gardening, metal detecting, building model ships and rides around the backshore. He had a passion for life and touched many people's lives.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jean G. Baglini of Gloucester; his step-son, Ralph W. Hanibal Jr. of Gloucester; two sisters, Barbara Tognazzi and Susan Vickery and her companion Phil Flasher all of Gloucester; two brothers, Charles Burgess and his wife Sally of Allston and Philip Baglini of Boston; four nieces, Brenda Fleming of Gloucester, Lisa Baglini of Salem, Theresa Albertine of Millis and Frances Burgess of Norway; three nephews, A. Nicholas Tognazzi of Gloucester, Brian Tognazzi of Nashua, N.H. and Peter Geurtze of Boston; six cousins, Edward T. Lannon, Scott Lannon, Edward Lannon Jr., Claire Lannon, Tina Cavanaugh and Monique Cavanaugh; special friends, Dominic, Tony and numerous other friends; his beloved pet pug, Bebe and many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sandra Burgess and Gertrude "Trudy" Geurtze and a brother-in-law, Albert Tognazzi.
