LEBANON, Maine — Priscilla Eleanor Rowe, 80, of Lebanon, Maine and formerly of Rockport, passed away at home in Lebanon on Friday, March 14, 2008.
Mrs. Rowe was born on July 13, 1927 in Gloucester, a daughter of Clemens J. and Mildred P. (Nelson) Essman. She attended local schools and graduated from Gloucester High School.
In 1947 she married Warren Rowe in Rockport. Rockport was her home and for many years she worked at a local gift shop called the Bear Skin Neck. She always looked forward to Tuesday mornings when she would gather with her friends at a local coffee shop, which eventually became known as the Ladies Tuesday Morning Coffee Club. When she moved to Maine a few years ago she enjoyed yard sales and taking walks in the woods with the dogs. Her greatest joy was being close to and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren who passed away in January, 1985. She was also predeceased by one brother, John Olson. She is survived by one son, William "Bill" Rowe and his wife Elzade "Zee" of Lebanon, Maine; two grandsons, Erik Matthew Rowe and his wife Heidi of Wakefield, N.H., Timothy Howard and his wife Amy of Lebanon, Maine; one granddaughter, Mindie Howard of Lebanon, Maine; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Anna, Missy and Timothy. She is also survived by one sister, Pauline and her husband Arthur Pimental of Gloucester
