The high school's Drama Club will have a busy weekend as it competes at the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild's annual festival.
After two months of rehearsing and preparing, the cast and crew, made up of nearly 25 students, will showcase their talent at the annual competition to be held at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School.
The cast includes Sara Pardo, Felicia Grossi, Maura Webber, Peter O'Neill, Chad Favazza, Willie Norris, Jaret Sears, Kathi Kaity, Lucy Morgan, Hayden Wilson, Rose Pleuler, Caitlyn Hugel, Lia Parisi, Emily Nicastro, Nancy Frye and Zachary Hoffman.
Students behind the scenes will be Amelia Mallard, Marc Piscitello, Ariel Sargent, Rose Pleuler, Alex Gross, Brendan Marr, Maura Webber, Kelsey Marr, Megan Leach, Alicia Martin and Allie Lees.
The club will compete against other nearby schools for the chance to advance to a final competition next month. The troupe is scheduled to take the stage at 3 p.m.
"Typeset"will be the first time the group will not perform a play written by students.
"We thought it would be a nice change and make it more easier," said assistant director Lia Parisi, a senior who also is playing several small roles.
"Typeset" is a one-act comedy about a man finding himself at a major crossroad.
"I think people are really going to enjoy it," scenic designer Kelsey Marr said.
